By far, one of the most commonly asked questions we get is this one:

Can I find out what’ll be in the next veg box?

Being seasonal, veg is a changing and sometimes unpredictable business, the list is always going to be subject to change. Having said that, staples like onion, garlic, leeks, mushrooms, carrots and potatoes (regular & sweet) are pretty much a permanent feature of our organic vegetable boxes. Cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli are less regular. Squashes & root veg tend to be a winter/early spring feature. And beans, peas & salad make an appearance around late spring and summer.

Fruit-wise, banana, orange, lemon and apple tend to make their way in our boxes all year round. Pear, blood oranges, clementines and kiwis are somehow a little more of a seasonal addition.

Is all your fruit & veg organic?

Yes. All our vegetables are organic and sourced from organic or biodynamic farms in UK and mainland Europe.

What if there’s something that I don’t like or can’t eat. Can I have it omitted from my veg boxes or fruit box?

Yes. You can leave a note when you place your order. We aren’t able to specify what the substitution will be as it depends on availability.

What are the main advantages of getting an organic fruit/veg box?

Lots but here are 5 main advantages and benefits:

  • You are helping end plastic packaging waste
  • You are supporting organic and biodynamic farmers
  • You eat healthier, fresher, high quality produce
  • You get to try new vegetables and inspiring new ways to use them
  • You get encouraged to expand your cooking repertoire

Is it cheaper than buying from a supermarket?

No. But we’re not more expensive either AND all our profits get reinvested to support our in-house social impact projects such as our Zero Waste food bank.

The other main difference with supermarkets is that our fruit & veg boxes are 100% Plastic Free.

When & where do we order and collect?

Place your order anytime and collect every Friday 12-6pm or Saturday 11am-2pm from our store at 162 Queen Margaret Drive, GLASGOW G208NX.

Choose the box you’d like to order from our 3 different options, select the click and collect option and proceed to checkout.

You’ll receive an order confirmation email. There is no need to print it when you collect your box but don’t delete the email in case we need to check something when you collect.

We advise collecting as soon as possible as we don’t have a refrigerated space in which to store the veg boxes, and won’t be able to replace any spoiled produce. Uncollected veg boxes will not be refunded but will be donated to our Zero Waste Food bank or one of our local food banks.

We’re interested in setting up more collection points in Glasgow and beyond, so if there’s a group of you who’d like to get veg boxes together please get in touch.

If you’re a shop, community group or cafe with space to store boxes & would like to know more about hosting a collection point, please get in touch.

Lastly, we tend to post pictures of our fridge & veg area regularly on our social media channels Instagram and Facebook, so if there’s something you really want or don’t want when you look, let us know when you place your order!
