Description

Loofco Washing Up Scraper

An ingenious, traditional use for the outer husk of a coconut is as a scraper for removing those annoying bits of burnt on food from pans and trays. The scraper has a blade-like edge to remove at the front to remove tough bits and a fibrous surface underneath that acts like a scrubbing brush.

  • Safe to use on non-stick surfaces
  • Coconut husks have properties which naturally resist bacterial and fungal growth
  • Comes with a handmade string loop to hang and dry after usage
  • Lasts up to around 12 months with care and can be fully composted at the end of it’s life

Top Tip

Pre-soak baked on trays or pots before to avoid scratching. Trim back husk when it starts to fray back to a solid edge, and clean by rinsing and hang to dry on handy string loop, to prolong the life of the scraper.

Best Bit

Not only is this an ingenious way to use what otherwise would have gone to waste, Loofco also support fair wages for their farmers, sustainable farming and ethical working conditions.
